ceramic designer  david edmonds produces  an original range of quality tableware for everyday use simple functional strong the series comprises plates platters bowls cups and vases etc.

all the  pieces are designed and handmade to order in the sydney studio for the wholesale gift and restaurant markets-supplying  the very best select clients - all product passes strict quality  controls and australian standards . david has developed over a number of years  a unique  silk surface combining durability and colour saturation never before  seen on the australian market -work sort after both locally and internationally.

with a background in sculpture and design david has worked at  the college of fine art -university of nsw  in the sculpture and design departments and  at  sydney college of the arts -university of sydney in their object design  and ceramics departments and taught in numerous institutions.

david has  designed projects for walkatjara art at uluru in collaboration with anangu  indigenous women elders  of mutitjulu community - konobar  restaurant  sydney mural with tobias theodore architects - the  touchstone (green and golden bell frog) project sydney international airport for olympic arts program sydney airport corporations  authority and studio kite- sydney theatre company-bush wa zee ceramics  sydney -camden lock pottery london-and commissions for sunbeam australia  andronicus coffee pacific magazines  local government and shires association- ises international special events  society - longitude 131 uluru voyager hotels - dfs duty free shoppers  corporate  etc and has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions.

the inspiration for this range comes from a love of food . the work not only acts as a canvas on which cuisine is presented- to complete the total sensory experience of enjoying a meal - but works also as a sculptural object. being visually trained inspiration comes from any and everything - a continuous  process of thought and making and eating -very hands on-literally drawing in the clay. the colours are all food safe and are designed  to compliment and enhance the pleasure of  food- mocha pistaccio  chocolate vanilla  musk - soft and delicious. micro and dishwasher safe.
